The amount of time and effort put into thist engine just to simulate a realistic world/environment shows that we as people place so much value in nature that we believe it should be pleasing to the eye in more than just nature itself. Perhaps this shows that technology brings us closer to nature rather than seperates us?
I think this leads things to a very interesting idea: that pathways can be found in nature in order to help facilitate the way we see the world. Possibly look into this as an idea; I worry that you are overlooking the pathway.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if there might be unintended consequences. Rather than a help, what if this becomes our way of replacing nature? What are the implications of being able to so realistically recreate the natural world?
